Well Bill and I spent two days in New Orleans enjoying the Mardi Gras. We are staying at the Pontchartrain Landing RV Campground. It is on the river and just three years old. One of the best things about this campground is that it had a shuttle to take you to the heart of Mardi Gras. We saw a parade and enjoyed everyone throwing the beads and watching all the people try to catch them. We had a latte at a little cafe and people watched. Oh the sights. We went for a walk along the river. We had dinner at Bubba Gumps the first night and the second night we had dinner at Red Fish Grill. At Bubba Gumps we had 1 1/2 lbs. of shrimp and at Red Fish Cafe Bill had Red Fish and I had Pork Tenderloin and a fantastic sweet potato. We spent some time at Harrah's and made a contribution to the casino. Our experience here was very positive and will return. One of the other things we enjoyed was the buskers. We were so impressed with the a cappello group of three men that we bought their CD. There were also several buskers who were live statues. They stood so still you would swear they were real statues. All in all we had a fantastic time in New Orleans.
